Ooni Fyra Pizza Oven Koda 12

Ooni Fyra Pizza Oven Xl Review

It is one of my favorite things about cooking outdoors, and how clean it can be. Fyra 12 has a lot of soot, even though it's well-oxygenated. There are many things to clean. Fyra 12 comes with two chimneys, one for pellet loading and one for smoke. Each has removable parts that can get clogged up after cooking. The pizza stone itself is relatively easy to clean.

I would recommend that you have two cooks. One should be focused on flame maintenance while the other one should be focused on pizza assembly, cooking and baking. You should also get an infrared temperaturemeter, as it is essential for all the heat variation.

My suggestion is to have two chefs -- one who is focused on flame management and the other who is focused on cooking pizza. With all the variability in heat, it's important to have an infrared thermostat.

Amazing stuff! It took less than 10 minutes to open everything, read the instructions, then set it up.

I also received a bag of Ooni Premium hardwood pellets and an Ooni 12″ classic pizza peel to help us get started.

You shouldn't let its small size fool you. This pizza oven is capable of making delicious pizzas just as good and as tasty as your favourite pizza restaurant. It has been an excellent addition to our outdoor entertainment setup. We can't WAIT to run it through again this spring or summer.

A tip is to be careful when removing the oven's door to turn or remove the pizza. A slight wind gust can cause a backdraft and the oven will flash. While it is not a concern for anyone cooking pizzas in the oven, you should make sure that the oven's rear is away from children.

Ooni Fyra 12 allows you to also cook other items provided you have suitable cookware. Ooni's website has many recipes, including duck breasts and banana cake. Ooni recommends that you use the Ooni Fyra 12, which can be used in any wood-fired oven. Cook the food the same as in an oven: rotate the pan to make sure every angle faces the heat source. Although a small skillet made of cast iron will work, the skillet's handle will stick out of the oven. Ooni offers a cast iron skillet that has a removable handles. This seems a bit fussy. I also think the pan is a bit small and fragile.

Watch out for a slight backdraft when you remove the oven door from the oven to turn the pie or take it out. This can lead to flames flickering out of the oven's rear. Although it's not an issue for those cooking pizzas at the front, you may want to make certain that the oven is positioned away from areas where children could be easily walked past.

The Ooni Fyra 12 only has some minor drawbacks, but these are things I could have anticipated. I was able to live with them. For example, cleaning the oven can be tedious. After cooling the oven completely, take out the ashes and clean it with a dry, non-toxic cloth. Finally, use a pizza brush or a scraper to remove any remaining food and debris. I had to use elbow grease and a fish spatula to clean the baking dish. However, by flipping the pan for the next cook (as advised), the high heat helped to melt any remaining food particles.

Ooni Fyra's pizza oven is great value and delivers excellent quality pizzas in less time than one minute. It is great for pizza enthusiasts as well as beginners.

To help me get started, I received Ooni Premium hardwood pellets as well as an Ooni 12 classic pizza peel.

Ooni Fyra Review

I was shocked at how small the Ooni Fyra pie oven looked when it arrived. But this has turned out to be its biggest advantage. It's light and portable.

Assembling the Ooni Fyra pizza oven was incredibly simple. As someone who has zero patience when it comes to following assembly instructions (my Ikea flatpack meltdowns are fairly legendary in our house), this couldn’t have been more straightforward.

When it comes to backyard pizza ovens, Ooni is the brand to beat, and the Fyra 12 ($349) is the cheapest model it makes. The Fyra 12 is also Ooni's most portable option. It weighs 22 pounds and uses dry hardwood pellets as its fuel source, which are naturally easier to transport and widely available for purchase at grocery and hardwood stores around the U.S.

To remove the main oven's main body, simply open the box and unfold the legs. Once the grate is in place, insert it before you place the pizza stone in the oven base. The main chimney (the shorter section at the top) slides together, and you lock it in place. Finally, the fuelhopper (the smaller one at the back) is installed. Once you have finished, the chimney cap and door are installed.

The Ooni Fyra 12's only drawbacks are those that I couldn't have foreseen and ended up liking. Cleaning the oven is difficult. After it cools completely and you have removed the ashes, you can clean the oven using a dry cloth. To get the baking stone clean, I used a fishing spatula and some elbow grease. But by flipping it (as suggested), the high heat helped to burn any stray bits.

The popularity of outdoor kitchens is increasing, so the demand to have the best pizza oven in your alfresco cooking area isn't slowing down. So, when the Ooni Fyra wooden pellet pizza oven was available for road testing, I jumped at it to see if it was as enjoyable as I imagined.

However, these accessories can quickly add up to the cost for your pizza oven.

I was skeptical about the Ooni Fyra 12 before I tried it. But, this year would be the year when I master pizza making. New York City is home to many delicious pizzas. There is always pizza available no matter where I am. Apart from the occasional cast iron pie, I didn't feel the need to use the skill at my home. I was especially skeptical about the leopard-spotted wood-fired pizzas at my favorite restaurants. It seemed beyond my capabilities. Why would I attempt something that I don't know half as well than the pros?

Reviews Of Ooni Fyra Pizza Oven

The Fyra 12 requires fuel, just like any other pizza oven. Fuel costs money. Ooni sells 20-pound bags at $25. However, there are cheaper options and any brand will work. You'll also need fire starters while you're at the store.

Ooni Fyra 12 allows you to easily make pizza. All it takes is rolling your dough onto a floured peel, and then after 15 minutes preheating, transferring the pizza onto a cooking surface. When your pizza reaches full temperature, Ooni advises that it should reach 950degF. You can also check the infrared thermometer to verify this. After 30 seconds of preheating, you will need to flip the pizza around until both sides are hot. Your pizza will be perfectly charred on the edges and puffy in just one or two minutes.

Ooni has an infrared thermometer that you can use to determine when your oven is ready. After trying the oven several times, I had a pretty good idea of when it was warm enough.

What does this all mean for the end-user? The Fyra 12 consumes a lot more pellets than it needs. The proper flame to cook more than one pizza takes away from the main pizza making process.

I was also gifted Ooni Premium hardwood chips and an Ooni 12' classic pizza peel.

Ooni has included an inch of opening right beside the handle which is another thing that lacks in their other models. It serves as a peephole, allowing you to keep an eye on pizzas without opening the door, but we could not get a clear view sometimes after cooking a couple of pizzas.

The Fyra delivers its promise of portability. The oven cavity can accommodate the chimneys and the legs are easily folded up. The exterior powder-coated is durable and scratch resistant, weighing in at 20 pounds.

Be aware that the oven can flicker if there is a slight breeze when you open it to turn the pizzas or remove them. It isn't a problem for anyone who is baking pizzas. But, it is worth making sure that the rear of your oven is well away from any children.

You will need to keep it covered so that rain and snow don't seep inside. Be sure to keep the oven door on and cover the chimney so no moisture can enter. If it gets wet, the moisture will release on the cooking surface, and then when it heats up, it will release too much steam and cause hairline fractures. 1 Feb 2022

Which Is Better Ooni or Roccbox? While both the Ooni and Roccbox pizza ovens are capable of making excellent, authentic pizza, the Ooni is a better value. Ooni offers six different pizza ovens with similar features to the Roccbox for, in some cases, a significantly lower price.
