What are HA fillers, exactly?
Juvederm or Restylane are hyaluronic fillers that are suspended in gel carriers. This gel helps the injection of hyaluronic Acid stay in its place. The hyaluronic- acid immediately pulls in water. In this way, it increases volume. This is great for deep wrinkles and folds on the face, as well as areas that require more volume like the cheeks or lips. These fillers dissolve naturally with most lasting at least a year. Others may last longer.
Aesthetic medicine is a broad term for specialties that focus on altering cosmetic appearance through the treatment of conditions including scars, skin laxity, wrinkles, moles, liver spots, excess fat, cellulite, unwanted hair, skin discoloration, and spider veins. What is Sculptra?
Sculptra injectable is a bio stimulatory injection made from poly-L lactic acid. It gradually restores facial volume. It stimulates your skin's natural ability over time to produce collagen. Over time, the poly-L lactic acid is biodegraded to create a new meshwork of collagen. Treatment areas could include the cheeks, jawline, nasolabialfolds, temples and cheeks. Most initially will require three treatments over a couple of months and then just one treatment annually. The results can last up to two years.
What is Kybella anyway?
Kybella can be used to permanently remove fat cells. Depending on the amount of fat present one to five vials of Kybella may be needed during a single treatment session and multiple treatment sessions may be necessary. The most common area of treatment is the submental fat otherwise known as a 'double chin'. Treatments can be stopped once the desired aesthetic goal was achieved.
