What are HA Fillers?
Juvederm or Restylane are hyaluronic fillers that are suspended in gel carriers. This gel helps the injection of hyaluronic Acid stay in its place. The hyaluronic- acid immediately pulls in water. In this way, it increases volume. This is great for deep wrinkles and folds on the face, as well as areas that require more volume like the cheeks or lips. These fillers dissolve naturally and can last up to one year, with some lasting even longer.
Aesthetic medicine is a broad term for specialties that focus on altering cosmetic appearance through the treatment of conditions including scars, skin laxity, wrinkles, moles, liver spots, excess fat, cellulite, unwanted hair, skin discoloration, and spider veins. Kansas City (abbreviated KC or KCMO) is the largest city in Missouri by population and area. What are Neurotoxins and how can they be avoided?
Botox and Dysport are injectable neurotoxins that can temporarily help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Repeated muscle contractions can result in facial lines and wrinkles becoming deeper and more severe over time. Botox/Dysport will temporarily decrease muscle contractions and make skin smoother.
Common treatment areas include the forehead, frown lines, and crows feet. Results can be seen starting in just a couple of days after treatment but will continue to work gradually over two weeks. Results can last up four months if taken as directed.
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is a bio-stimulatory injectable that contains poly-L-lactic Acid. It helps to gradually restore facial volume. When injected it stimulates your own skin's natural ability to produce collagen slowly over time. Over time, the poly-L lactic acid is biodegraded to create a new meshwork of collagen. The treatment areas include the jawline, cheeks and nasolabial folds. Most people will need three treatments within a few months. After that, they only need one treatment each year. Results can last more than two years!
What is Kybella?
Kybella can be used to permanently remove fat cells. Depending on the amount of fat present one to five vials of Kybella may be needed during a single treatment session and multiple treatment sessions may be necessary. The most common area of treatment is the submental fat otherwise known as a 'double chin'. Treatments can stop once a desired aesthetic goal has been reached.

What is Dermaplane?
Dermaplaning removes the top layer of dead skin, hair, and debris using a medical-grade surgical knife. A single session of dermaplaning is capable of removing approximately 2-3 weeks' worth of skin cells and debris. Dermplane does not require any pain and is non-invasive. While it looks similar to shaving, Dermplane is far more effective as the blade is able to reach the top of the skin. The hair will not grow back darker - dermaplaning targets vellus hairs (peach fuzz), which are the same size as the original. It doesn't give the illusion that the hair is thicker because of the way it is cut. There is no downtime with this treatment.
