The Wyeth - Tootle Manor, at 11th and Charles sts., is a historical mansion. William M. Wyeth built it in 1879. It was designed in Gothic style by Eckel and Mann Architects. They had travelled extensively throughout Europe to gather ideas and build the mansion which was completed in 1883. The Tootles lived here until 1887, when the property was sold.
The mansion consists of three floors and a tower. There are more than 40 rooms inside the house. Beautiful woodwork, hand-painted ceilings and imported stained windows are all part of the interior. You can experience life in the late 19th-century. The Wyeth–Tootle Mansion can be found near St. Joseph in Missouri.
