The Wyeth – Tootle Manor is a historic house located at 11th & Charles sts. Built in 1879 by William M. Wyeth, it was designed by Mann Architects in Gothic style. The family's European travels led to many ideas for the mansion that was built in 1883. The Tootles owned the house from 1887 until it was sold.
The mansion consists of three floors and a tower. The house is home to more than 40 rooms. Beautiful woodwork, hand-painted ceilings and imported stained windows are all part of the interior. Visitors can also experience life in the late nineteenth century. The Wyeth–Tootle Mansion can be found near St. Joseph in Missouri. He was also an active member of the Wyeth Duck Club as well as the St. Joseph Duck Club as well as Audubon Society. He was also the president and founder of the St. Joseph Hardware Company.
