The Wyeth - Tootle Manor at 11th & Charles sts is a historic home. Built in 1879 by William M. Wyeth, it was designed by Mann Architects in Gothic style. They had travelled extensively throughout Europe to gather ideas and build the mansion which was completed in 1883. The Tootles lived here until 1887, when the property was sold.
The mansion is three stories high and has a tower. There are more than 40 rooms inside the house. Beautiful woodwork, hand-painted ceilings and imported stained windows are all part of the interior. He also served the presidency of the St. Joseph Hardware Company.
