Summary: Tom Geisler, welding instructor, awarded Eli Seibel with the Student Chapter Student of the Year Award. Seibel has been enrolled in the welding program for two years without missing or being late for a class. He works full time at his family farm and recently passed his all-position, limited-thickness welding certification. COLUMBUS April 26 Location: Old Worthington Library, Worthington, Ohio Presenter: Dr. Richelle Thomas, advanced engineer, R&D, Owens Corning Science and Technology Topic: Sustainability in manufacturing Summary: Product transparency has become a megatrend in the consumer products industry. Thomas highlighted trends in corporate sustainability from a manufacturing perspective, including marketplace expectations, life cycle thinking, and an overview of sustainability in manufacturing.
