EWI Promotes NDE Technology Leader EWI, Columbus, Ohio, an engineering and technology company, has promoted Dr. Evgueni Todorov to technology leader for nondestructive examination (NDE). Todorov will be based in Loveland, Colo., where he will oversee the technical team in setting up EWI Colorado, a new center for advanced process monitoring and control technologies. Todorov has more than 30 years of experience in the development and industrial application of NDE and electronic measurement technologies. He was worked at the company since 2004. Güdel Selects CEO Güdel, Inc., Ann Arbor, Mich., a manufacturer of robotic automation products, systems, and services, has announced the appointment of Stuart Shepherd as CEO. This follows the retirement of Stefan Nilsson. Shepherd will report directly to President and Chairman of the Group Executive Board Martin Sträb. GMCA Names Vice President of Workforce Development The Greater Michigan Construction Academy (GMCA), Midland, Mich., has promoted Stephanie Davis to vice president of workforce development and training. Pemamek Chooses New CEO The board of Pemamek, Liomaa, Finland, a welding and production automation company, has named Jaakko Heikonen as its new chief executive officer. Heikonen holds a master of science in engineering degree, and joined the company more than ten years ago. Most recently, he served as vice president. Heikonen succeeds longtime CEO Pekka Heikonen, who will continue with the company full time as chairman of the board. Alcoa Reveals Executive Shuffle Alcoa, New York, N.Y., a lightweight metals producer, has announced that Karl Tragl, recently group president of transportation and construction solutions (TCS), has been appointed group president of engineered products and solutions, succeeding Olivier Jarrault. Prior to joining the company in February, Tragl was CEO of Bosch Rexroth, an automation systems company, for six years. Succeeding Tragl as group president of TCS is Tim Myers, recent president of Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products (AWTP). In this new role, Myers will oversee the AWTP and Alcoa Building and Construction Systems. Myers has been with the company for 25 years. Dynabrade Fills Management Role Dynabrade, Clarence, N.Y., a manufacturer of abrasive power tools, has promoted Steve Briggs to global key accounts manager, a newly created, high-profile sales and management position. In his new position, Briggs will be responsible for key accounts, addressing the changing operational needs of large trading partners, and positioning the company Steve Briggs for long-term global sales growth and profitability.
