Free shipping topped the list at 76%. That’s even higher than the right price (73%), in-stock products (54%) and product selection and trust in the brand (tied at 53%).

The only sense it makes is to use it to balance out-of-balance inventories that are in stores. Efficiency comes from consolidating inventory, automated picking and bulk shipping. Would love to see the shrink stats on these stores’ ship-from-store as those who feel disrespected, overwhelmed and isolated are the most likely to look the other way when customers or employees pilfer merchandise.
