Next, our Vendors’ Night participants who manned a
booth space were: RIMKUS, ServiceMaster Associates of
Virginia, Furniture Medic, Global Forensics Investigations,
ERS/Restoration Specialties Franchise Groups LLC,
Envista, ServPro of Roanoke, Montgomery & Pulaski
Counties, Unified Investigations & Sciences, Enservio,
Temporary Accommodations, NEFCO Fire Investigations,
Rainbow International Restoration, Forensic Analysis &
Engineering Corporation, CRDN of Shenandoah Valley
& Southern Virginia, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Eberl Claims
Service and Consolidated Construction. While all of those
who maintain a vendor booth are sincerely appreciated
on an equal basis, I’d like to recognize both ServiceMaster
and Enterprise as contributors to the VSCA for more
than 30 conferences. There are several others this year
that have likely been with us at annual conferences for
more than ten years, but I’m not sure enough records
are available to be sure, but either way, I certainly hope
to see all of those recognized, along with our general
membership, to join with us again at the 54th Annual
Conference at the Renaissance Hotel & Conference
Center in Portsmouth, beginning Friday, October 5, 2018,
and preceded the day before by the golf tournament at
Nansemond River in Chesapeake.
Thanks again to all of you, and see you next year!

Statement
The VirginiaStateClaimsAssociation promotes insurance
industry professionalism in assisting their members with
education and the exchange of ideas and information on
subjects of common interest while adjusting claims openly and
honestly in all fairness to all regulators, policyholders,
claimants, insurance companies and associate vendors
for all VSCA Board meetings over which he presided, his
reaction to this singular honor bestowed upon him by his
peers was to be rendered nearly speechless. That, Jason,
is what we all call “practicing what you preach.”
With this closing of the activities of our Annual Banquet
activities, most of us retired to the Hospitality Rooms
across the hall and over into the Shula 347 Courtyard for
the second successive evening for some final socializing
over a few late-night snacks and an adult beverage or
two; with the only remaining formal event being the Past
Presidents’ Breakfast in Shula 347’s Board Room the next
morning. Thirteen of those past presidents and some
spouses reflected on the conference, critiqued its “hits
and misses”, and offered guidance and suggestions for
future conferences.
In a final word in tribute to those who made this entire
event possible, we recognize companies and individuals
who contributed, either financially, with the sacrifice of
their time and demonstration of their talents; or perhaps
a combination of any or all of these.
First, we have our Signature Sponsors at the Nebula
Level of $2000, Forensic Analysis & Engineering and
Rainbow International Restoration; followed by Pulsar
Level of $1000 by Consolidated Construction, Midkiff
Muncie & Ross P.C., Roanoke Valley Claims Service and
ServPro of Roanoke County, and Constellation Level of
$500, maintained by Barker Claim Services.
