The last three quarters of 2017 have been very busy for the Hampton Roads Claims Association.
April
-- The Virginia Beach Fire Marshall’s office presented
some tips for our industry on fire scene awareness.
May
-- Ed Moreno and Amory Lecturer of Personal Property
Assessments gave us some great information about fine
furniture, antiques, and collectibles.
-- We held our annual golf tournament on May 24th at
Red Wing Golf Course. We had a fantastic turnout
and raised nearly $7000.00
June
-- Bill Sammler of NOAA filled us in on the
upcoming hurricane predictions and why
everything went so wrong with predicting
the impact of hurricane Matthew.
July
-- We held an Arcade Olympics at Game works!
August
-- Senior Special Agent Russell Eley spoke about
Insurance Fraud.
September
-- Tonya Young of PNC bank spoke about protecting
yourself from Identity Fraud.
October
-- Grindly Johnson, Deputy Secretary of Transportation,
Commonwealth of Virginia and Tony Gibson, Project
Manager for 64 Express Lanes.
November
-- We will be awarding Vendor Scholarships and giving
out Nonprofit Contributions. Our Speaker will be Danny
Vestal from Camp Silver Beach.
-- This year a group of volunteers will “RING
THE BELL” outside of a local Walmart for the
Salvation Army.
-- We have begun our recruiting for the
2018 POLAR PLUNGE. Please join the team

- - We will be moving our NOW LEGENDARY annual
