Parallel connection of several motors to One Clean Power VFD
The Clean Power VFDs allow parallel operation of several motors operating in V/F mode.
The sum of all motor currents must be less than the Clean Power VFD's rated current.
If you are connecting multiple motors on one Clean Power VFD you must select and install contactors for each motor according to utilization category AC3.
Each motor contactor must be sized according to the rated current of the corresponding motor.
The embedded protection functions of Clean Power VFD will not operate correctly in a parallel motor configuration and should not be used. Each motor must be protected with external thermistors and/or overload relays.
