FROM THE PRESIDENT’S PEN
Here it is, only June, and I’m already looking forward to seeing all of
you in October for the 2018 Leadership Conference. The 2018 Leadership
Committee, headed by Ann Baskette and Danny Osterbind, have lined up great
speakers for the event and are waiting for us to sign up! Please go to the VSCA
website, www.virginiastateclaims.com, for the list of classes and registration
information. Plan on joining us at the golf outing at Nansemond River Golf
Course on October 4th to kick off the event, attend the classes on Friday and
party at the exhibitor’s night. The theme is “Get Switched on!” Make plans to
be there. It is a great opportunity to meet other people in the industry. If at
all possible, plan on staying at the Portsmouth Renaissance Hotel during the
conference. It does make a difference to stay onsite so that you can attend all
events and get away from it all. Thank you to all the sponsors and exhibitors
who make the event possible.
The VSCA secretary, Robert Ross, is working hard at establishing a
committee of different insurance professionals to discuss how we as an
organization can meet the changing needs of the insurance industry. He has
many enthusiastic professionals planning on meeting and seeing ways we
may reach out to more adjusters in Virginia.
I am looking forward to joining each local association during one of their
meetings in the upcoming months. See you there!
