The Hampton Roads Claim
Association is off to a great start in
2018.
The association participated in the
Polar Plunge for the third year. This
year we had eight plungers and raised
a total of $1,884 for Special Olympics
(http://polarplunge.com/virginia-beach/
). All that came out to support
and plunge had a great time.
As 2018 began we had the Norfolk
SPCA speak at the January meeting.
There were quite a few questions
asked about the services the SPCA
provides as well as upcoming events.
In February we had Chesapeake
Regional Health speak about the signs
of having either a Heart Attack or a
Stroke. They also provided guidance
on doing compressions and had two
CPR manikins for everyone to practice
on. In March we have a tax expert to
talk about the recent tax changes. In
April the Red Cross is speaking about
Hurricane preparedness. Come on
out to our meetings at the Aberdeen
Barn on Northampton Blvd. in
Norfolk VA every second Wednesday
of the month at 5pm for the social
hour. The meeting starts at 6m with
dinner and the speaker.
Roby Blankinship will once again
chair the annual HRCA Golf
Tournament in May. Proceeds
will go towards charities and
scholarships. Further details will

In 2018 HRCA moved into a new era.
We now accept payment through
PayPal. There are links on the website
for both the monthly meetings and
the annual membership dues.
