In spite of some frigid temperatures
at the start of 2018 with many of
our members knee-deep in frozen
pipe claims, the Richmond Claims
Association is off to a good start. Our
new board is in place and working
hard to make 2017 a challenging, yet
very successful year.
At our December meeting, our
members unanimously elected, and
at our January meeting they installed

An impressive group of professionals
indeed. After electing the new
board, we gathered with our other
members and guests to enjoy the
fabulous fellowship of good friends
at our annual RCA Christmas party.
Despite a glitch in our new venue,
everyone enjoyed being together to
end the year!
Our January meeting was very well
attended at the Glen Allen Cultural
Arts Center, and featured excellent
comments by our incoming president
Margaret Hiter. We look forward to
good things from Margaret in the
year to come.

Scholarship
If you are an RCA member with a
child in college, don’t forget that the
scholarship application deadline
is fast approaching. Scholarship
applications are available on the
RCA website and must be submitted
by our March 21, 2018 meeting.
Whether you have a college-age child
or not, you can have fun supporting
the association’s scholarship fund
by participating in its Annual Spring
Scholarship Golf Tournament that
will be held at a date to be announced
May 10th at Mill Quarter Plantation.
