Even if you are programming the CNC Drill Line manually, it is easy to program. Peddimat machine programming software can be used and most operators will learn how to program most of the parts in under an hour. Of course practice makes perfect. It is best to program the machine by importing parts directly from a 3-D modeling program such as ProSteel 3D, StruMis, Tekla Structures, SDS/2 or StruMis. These files are imported directly into your machine. Once you have selected the part, hit the Cycle Start button.

Voortman makes machines for GSS Machinery in order to meet our exact specifications. GSS Machinery targets small- to medium-sized fabricators, while Voortman targets larger fabricators. Powered by 25 HP (18.5 kW) Siemens spindle motors, the Advantage-2 is outfitted with 3 drill spindles, each equipped with 5-station tool changers. This powerful drilling technology allows for maximized operating time and drill hole quality.

We believe that for now, based on current pricing from the various suppliers, the customer is better off with good quality Ocean Penetrator twist drill bits and a good quality sharpener.

Voortman offers regularly scheduled training courses for all Voortman Ocean equipment in their Bradley Illinois facility. These courses are available for both new operators and retraining existing operators. The CNC Drill Line has two options: it can be programmed in-house or at work using the Peddimat programming software. This software comes as part of the AVENGER. The unlimited license allows you to install it on as many machines in your workplace as you'd like. It's the same software found on your machine.
