BACKGROUND:

    James Park grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota,
attended public school and the University of Minnesota,
where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (philosophy and humanities).
He also holds a Master of Divinity degree
from Union Theological Seminary in New York City.
