IMPRINTED
SEXUAL FANTASIES:
A
NEW KEY FOR SEXOLOGY
short description of this course:
This seminar will read and discuss a book of the
same name:
Imprinted
Sexual Fantasies: A New
Key for Sexology.
ISF
offers a new
hypothesis for explaining human sexuality:
Each human person is imprinted
with specific sex-scripts
or sexual fantasies during our first 20 years of life.
Our first sexual responses are created
not by nature, not by
nurture, but by mental imprinting.
If this hypothesis proves substantially correct,
it could revolutionize modern sexology.
Eleven chapters will be discussed in 5 sessions.
See table
of
contents.

If you would like to read a bit more about imprinted
sexual fantasies,
here is a selection of ten
teasers
from the text.
Another brief introduction to the theory of
imprinted sexual fantasies
will be found in an on-line essay called "Source of Sexual Fantasies":
https://s3.amazonaws.com/aws-website-jamesleonardpark---freelibrary-3puxk/CY-SSF.html
This class is not a lecture
series, since
the
printed book
presents the sex-script hypothesis and its implications.
Rather, we will have maximum
discussion among the people
who are reading the book and choose to join this seminar.
How might YOU decide to join a discussion of sexual
fantasies?
First you might read
some sample pages from the book,
Imprinted
Sexual Fantasies: A New Key for Sexology.
About 50 pages from this 176-page book are available on the Internet.
This amounts to about 28% of the text.
And a synopsis of each chapter is available on the Internet.
If you want an even quicker introduction to the book,
you might read ten
teasers
from the text.
These paragraphs give you good glimpses of both the style and content.
Do these selections illuminate your own imprinted sexual fantasies?
Do the sample pages inspire you to read more?
Would you like to discuss these ideas with other people?
If so, you might find this seminar an appropriate place for deeper
exploration.
If you saw this book: Imprinted
Sexual Fantasies: A New Key for Sexology
on the shelf of your favorite library,
would you borrow it, take it home, and read it carefully?
If so, you might be one of the serious scholars, students, or readers
who will help to make this a good seminar.
Most of the content this seminar
will be shared by a careful
reading of the book.
In addition, discussing sex-scripts with others who have read each
chapter
should be a valuable interpersonal experience.
How does the sex-script hypothesis apply our own own lives
—and
to the lives of people we have known?
The printed and bound book costs $25 wholesale.
Another option is an electronic version (PDF),
which can be read on most e-readers: $10.
Members of sex-and-gender minorities
are encouraged to consider this seminar.
