Career in
ALTERNATIVE
ADULT EDUCATION
I have been active in various adult education
efforts since 1966,
when I first became involved in the Free University movement.
From 1968-1979, I was deeply involved with the Minnesota Free
University,
serving many years as the editor of the quarterly bulletin, the FreeYou.
And I also offered many of the classes.
During many of these years, 20% of the MFU classes were taught by me.
In later years, I was deeply involved in the adult
education program
of the First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis.
When I calculated the total number of classes I have
taught,
the total came to over 200 different groups of people.
These usually were held once a week for a few weeks.
I have offered 30 or 40 different classes.
My most popular class explores new ways of loving.
