Campbell, technical officer, Machinery & Welder Corp. Topic: Welding code compliance — Back to basics Summary: Section Technical Officer Joe Campbell gave a presentation on welding code compliance. Two professional development hours (PDHs) were given to attendees. September 24 Location: Wisconsin State Fair, Milwaukee, Wis. Summary: Section members volunteered their time to give virtual reality welding training on board the American Welding Society’s Careers in Welding Trailer when it visited the state fair. September 24 Location: Wern Valley Sportsman’s Club Summary: The Section held its Annual Rod Behnke Memorial Clay Shoot at the Wern Valley Sportsman’s Club. October 14 Location: Milwaukee Area Technical College West Allis (MATC) Summary: The Weld Club at MATC held its first meeting of the year. Ferris State Student Chapter — Eighteen members of the student chapter and welding programs gathered for a photo during the annual chapter picnic.
