Invalid Access Code

If you receive an Invalid error when attempting to redeem an access code from a Human Kinetics textbook, please ensure that the code is entered correctly. Letters and numbers can look similar when printed on the included access code card and it can be difficult to decipher and enter the correct characters. Examples include switching the letter “O” and the number “0”, the letter “I” with the number “1”, and the letter “S” and the number “5”.
If the access code was entered correctly and you are still receiving an error, it may be due to your user role in HKPropel. Currently, HKPropel allows for its users to be either instructors or students. If you try to redeem a student access code as a class instructor, or an instructor access code as a student, you will receive an “Invalid” error even if the access code was entered correctly. Many times, this happens when a teacher redeems the access code listed in a print book and then later attempts to redeem their instructor access code.
