It seems that once a season or so, someone on campus tries to film something. Whether it’s a documentary about family or a commercial for Greendale, the result is always the same: everyone goes bat crap crazy. Each time a movie is made it seems that the campus is plunged deeper into insanity and, now, it’s even to the point that the faculty aren’t immune.
Possibly, the most extreme case actually occurs when Dean Pelton is given $2,000 to film a replacement for the school’s outdated late night television commercial from the 80s. When Greendale alum Luis Guzmán agrees to be in the TV spot, things quickly go downhill as the Dean attempts to rewrite the script to make it worthy of the actor’s time. The Dean’s commercial quickly goes from a cheesy up all night commercial to an “artistic vision.” Everyone is sucked into the madness and even Jeff becomes dedicated to doom the project. When things look their worse, Abed finally gets involved and saves the day for the Dean.
