One recurring theme in Community is that Jeff is super competitive. Whenever someone threatens his alpha status, he is quick to respond either with wit or action. While Foosball might seem an unlikely outlet for his competitive nature, a couple of European guys trigger his need to remind everyone that he’s still number one.
As it turns out, Foosball was once a big part of Jeff’s childhood until a traumatic experience at the hands of a mean girl, named “Big Cheddar,” left him broken and with the nickname, “Tinkletown.” Shirley decides to help Jeff train despite her own childhood experience with the game. Soon Jeff realizes that his study group partner was the infamous “Big Cheddar” and a grudge match breaks out. The match becomes so heated it can only be properly expressed in... anime?
