For Fidelity Investments, T1 is the first part of year when they do 60% of their retirement business. They brought me on as a freelancer to work on the largest interactive digital piece for T1, sat me down in a desk, and gave me free reign on design. I took the three dimensional look of their Green Line print and out of home campaigns and translated it for digital. I flattened out the design and tightened up the type. I introduced a palette of flat shades of green, a contrasting dark gray, and new ways of treating typography. At the center of this piece was an iAd for tablet. I translated this design into numerous resizes for page takeovers on sites like The New York Times, MSN, and Yahoo.
In addition to over 10 pieces of completely redesigned online content, the iAd included 2 fully interactive retirement tools that were designed from the ground up as well as 4 videos that were shot as part of this campaign.
The design aesthetic I created for this became widely used in future Fidelity work.
