Ambience
Overview
The Ambience module helps you match the room tone and noise floor of your Reference profile to your Apply To profile.
Module
The Ambience module includes the following controls:

| Power Button | Bypasses the Ambience processing. |
| Trim | Sets the level of synthesized Ambience processing. |
| Listen | Auditions only the matched ambient noise being applied. |
Advanced View
The Advanced view displays a spectrogram of the ambient noise and room tone.
DO NOT LEARN AMBIENCE ON FADES
We recommend not saving Snapshots or Reference profiles from audio that contains fades within the selection.
Clips learned with fades may result in inconsistent detection of the noise floor due to dithering, which
varies based on the Pro Tools session’s bit depth.
If you’re running a session with a bit depth of 16, the dither added by a fade will be enough to affect the
detection algorithm. The problem is less pronounced at bit depths of 24 or 32.
