impermanence
Art vs photography
Heijnen describes himself
as a visual artist who uses
photography, rather than a
pure photographer. "I aim to
present a rather subjective
version of our world," he
says. The
Residue
series
appears to show builldings
disintegrating, whereas they
are completely intact. "I
want to take the objectivity
that is often associated with
photography out of the way."
