Laser cutting machines can cut sheets of metal in seconds. It's possible to do the exact same thing with a laser tube-cutting machine, but that's another story.
How can you compensate? Traditionally, you would touch the contact points by coming down. Next, rotate the tube and touch the opposite side. This will give the control an indication about how bent the tube may be. This can be used to ensure that through-holes fit the application. Be aware that this reduces your ability to deliver very precise tolerances every time the tube rotates.

Some things are quite noticeable. The laser “generator” on a fiber laser is much smaller when compared to a traditional CO2 resonator. In fact, the fiber laser is created by banks of diodes that are put together in a briefcase-size module that can range in power from 600 to 1,500 watts. Multiple modules are spliced together to create the final powered resonator, which is typically the size of a small filing cabinet. The light generated is channeled and amplified through fiber-optic cable. When the light exits the fiber-optic cable, it is the same that is was upon being generated with no loss of power or quality. It is then adjusted and focused for the type of material to be cut.
Fiber lasers can be used to cut reflective materials and provide precise cutting. They are almost maintenance-free. They can also cut certain thicknesses of metal faster than CO2 lasers. But speed is only relative when cutting tube. Speeding up the process of cutting tube and producing finished products can make time savings.
