The PCR41 is an innovative design that combines robotics, vision systems and plasma torch technology to bring you the best combination of value, speed, precision, and 4-face operation to cutting structural steel that a robotic plasma cutter can offer.

Voortman's V808 robotic thermal cutter machine comes with the VACAM operating program. All machines can speak the same language. The V808 can be used as an integral part of a new layout, with roller conveyors and cross transports connecting to other Voortman processing machine or as a standalone processing centre.

Our VACAM software has been developed in house and is known for its superior performance in automatic material handling and buffer managing. Active buffer management protects the priority position for first profile in line while buffering subsequent profiles. Continuously shifting profiles towards the datumline allows for new profiles to load onto the handling system. This is because the datumline is always supplied material. This dramatically increases productivity and efficiency. Machines are no longer inactive while they wait for the next profile, or production batch.

VACAM Software also includes an Office Edition. VACAM Office Edition works in the same way as VACAM Control or Operating software. It is designed to prepare your products for production. The user interface focuses on preparation and provides real-time information about the material load. This allows you to monitor the production process. VACAM Office makes production information available to all employees.

Voortman V807 - a 7-axis robotic, thermal profile cutting system - can complete all steps of the coping process in one go. It is capable of reaching all four sides with incredible speed and accuracy. This CNC coping machine has the ability to handle standard and wide-flange beams.

We are very particular about making fabrication tasks easy and efficient. This Robotic coping beam and profiling beam can process square tubes, angles bars, channels, square pipes, as well as T bars, plates, bulbs, and other materials. The possibilities for functions on your pipes/profiles are endless with any of our Coping or profiling Robots. It is an extremely efficient tooling system that produces high quality outputs. These outputs could be H, I, and T beams respectively, or U and L channels.

CUTS ALL SHAPES AND LAYOUTS MARKING ON ALL 4 SIDES. The V808 robotic profil processor is capable to process nearly every shape in profile widths of up to 1.250 mm (50") The Voortman, our latest coping machine, often handles profiles with widths of up to 1.250 mm (50") in production. There are many thermally possible cuts that the V808's robot is capable of processing: rat holes and seismic structural connections (like slottedweb and "dogbone" cuts), copes at either end of a product, blockouts, holes in all shapes and sizes, weld preparations, marking on each side, and blocks outs.

Voortman designs the entire layout together with you. They base it on your production characteristics (e.g. type of profiles, product lengths, number of process steps, work hours and budget).

Robotic Coping Machines Not Working

THE V808 DOES IT ALL!With greater versatility comes greater economic advantages. Robotic plasma processing offers fabricators hard-to-beat cost savings over separate solutions for drilling, milling, sawing, punching, shearing and marking. Combining all of these processes in one machine saves you the financial investment of needing multiple machines with individual functions.

Gulf States Saw & Machine Co. is the market leader 3D pipe profilers for over 35+ years. They were the first to offer a robot beam profiling machine capable of cutting all saddles, chamfers or slots: the RPC 1200 Mk3. We have fulfilled a long-standing customer demand by creating a beam-coping machine that profiles beams, channel, square tubes and angle bars as well as pipes, plates, t-bars and bulbs.

Our top-of-the-range coping/profiler robot makes 3D coping and profiling much easier. These Robotic Coping beams and Profiling beams not only work well, but they can also be used to cut slots, chamlers, and saddles.

Our VACAM software, which we developed ourselves, is known for its outstanding performance in buffer management and material handling. Active buffer management guarantees a priority position in the line for the first profile while buffering all subsequent profiles. Profiles can be moved towards the datum to allow for new profiles to be loaded onto the system. This increases productivity and efficiency significantly, as machines no longer wait in idle mode to produce the next profile.

The V808 IS ALL YOU NEED! Fabricators can enjoy hard-to-beat savings with robotic plasma processing over traditional solutions such as drilling, milling and sawing, punching or shearing, marking, and cutting. You can save money by combining all these functions in one machine instead of purchasing multiple machines that perform different functions.

The V808 features an 8-axis cutting machine that is agile and can process any width profile within its range. Voortman has also added two additional axes to six of the Panasonic robot's six, giving the machine an extremely wide reach. The machine can even be placed under the raw material. Voortman program the robot so it can maneuver in the best possible position. This improves cutting quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

Coping Saw Coping Saws are handsaws that can cut extremely tight curves in thin stock like trim molding. They can be used to cut outside (from the edge), on stock up to two or three inches thick.

Coping is a process that allows a beam to fit into other parts of a framework.

Coping saws, hand saws that have a distinctive U-shaped shape, are used to make curved cuts in thinner materials at home or in the shop.

Both coping saws as well as jigsaws can cut curves or irregular shapes. Due to its shorter blade and faster speed, a jigsaw works better for cutting very irregular shapes or tight curves. For curved or circular curves, coping saws work better.

To increase your beam's bending capability, you will need to increase the second moment (I) if your beam design is controlled by yielding in bend (not lateral-torsional or plate buckling). This is usually done by attaching additional plates to your beam, often onto the flanges.
