We always train your operator how to run the machine using Peddimat as you are often going to have the situation where a customer arrives with a couple of pieces of steel that need holes or layout marks and you want to be able to produce them quickly without bothering your detailing staff who might be busy on a larger job.

Programming of the CNC Drill Line is very simple even when done manually. The machine programming software is Peddimat and most operators can learn how to program most parts in less than an hour. Of course practice makes perfect. However the best way to program the machine is to import parts directly from a CAD drawing preferably done in some 3-D modeling software such as Tekla Structures, SDS/2, ProSteel 3D, StruMis etc. These files import directly into the machine and the operator merely selects the part to be processed and hits the Cycle Start button.

Let's look at Twist Drill Bits versus Insert Drill Bits in a real-world fabrication situation. Let's just focus on one example: 13/16" (22mm), which is the most common drilled hole diameter.

Auto Standoff - This is a surface standoff, and should not be confused in any way with vector standoff using 5-axis mode. Auto stand-off will adjust vertically according to the angle of "A" Axis. A cobalt-blend drill bit is the best for drilling hardened metals or steel. This alloy includes 5% to 8% cobalt. The cobalt is a part of the steel mixture, so it doesn't wear away with a coating (like titanium bits).

As we all know, T-beam casting with slab is possible. Its flange absorbs compressive stress which means it will resist greater sagging moments of beam. The beam's depth is lower than ordinary beam, which gives you more headroom. For beam deflection reduction, T-beam is preferred over ordinary beam.

There are some guidelines and rules. According to IS 456:2000, the minimum thickness of RCC beams should not be less that 9'' (230mm). Therefore, RCC beams must be at least 9'' (230mm thick). Concrete grade M20 with T12 as tension bar at bottom and T10 at the top is recommended.
