Voortman has created the CNC beam drill line standard today using proven technology. Advantage-2 processes 150 tons of steel an average of once a week. The Advantage-2 is highly efficient in drilling, milling and tapping as well as countersinking.

The Advantage-2 employs a series of support clamps in order to achieve optimum rigidity of the workpiece through the machine. Carbide tool life is best sustained with the least amount of vibration possible.

The Franklin HD145 (3) spindle-cNC drill is 44 inches wide. The HD-145 can lift beams of up to 750 lbs per feet. The high-performance spindle design allows drilling speeds of up to 2000 RPM. The rigid design of the spindle allows for very aggressive feed rates, up to 300 ft per minute. There are many material handling options available for the Franklin HD145, from 300 lbs to 750 pounds per foot.

Automatic Edge Finder - The edge locater can be used either manually (Jogging Mechanism & Screen Buttons), programmatically or completely automated (dedicated programs). This option adjusts the offsets and rotation of the program to match the cutting table's orientation.
