The welfare of our employees is non-negotiable. Our goal is zero. Zero accidents. Zero injuries. We work tirelessly to build a culture that emphasizes safety and accountability through leadership engagement, collaboration, and transparency. Daily plant-wide meetings set clear expectations that working safely is our top priority. Our global “toolbox talks” every Monday reinforce this mindset. These 15-minute refreshers help keep safe behaviors such as slips and trips, ladder safety, and lock-out tag-out procedures, top of mind. Weekly safety scorecards generated at the plant level are shared with the leadership team and the CEO through monthly global operations calls. Our employees also receive regular updates on how well we are doing against our health and safety goals. Our CEO hosts regular global video conferences to communicate about our goals and activities to achieve them. And of course, we celebrate our successes by recognizing sites that surpass significant milestones, such as 250- or 365-days accident free. We are proud that our global incident rate has consistently been below the industry average; however, there is always room for improvement. We are currently developing a corporate health and safety plan to provide all sites with measures and procedures that will align our approach, and bring more consistency to our safety initiatives. Our aspiration of achieving zero injuries is an ongoing commitment to our employees, one that requires continuous focus and vigilance.
