IMPROVING OUR OPERATIONAL FOOTPRINT Our products are designed to improve the efficiency of our customers’ operations by reducing energy and water inputs. We also are committed to managing our own environmental footprint and finding operational efficiencies. Using fewer materials, less energy and water, and producing less waste results in lower operational costs. Our manufacturing operations are encouraged to look for efficiency opportunities, whether they are achieved through simple behavior changes, or the installation of state-of-the- art technologies. To foster collaboration and sharing of best practices across sites, we initiated monthly global operations calls in 2018 and began disseminating a weekly One Lindsay best practice knowledge bulletin. Water efficiency initiatives in 2018 included upgrading to a closed loop system for our cooling water needs at our Lindsay, NE site, as well as smaller scale efforts such as installing waterless equipment in our Olathe, KS facility restrooms. On the energy side, we were pleased to see a slight reduction in overall energy consumption from FY2017-FY2018 despite a 5 percent increase in total facility square footage. We also continued active cleanup efforts to address groundwater contamination at our Lindsay, NE site.* To identify further operational efficiency improvements, we are in the process of developing a corporate environmental standard that will enable the collection, and timely management, of consistent environmental key performance indicators. *For more information, see our 2018 Annual Report. 12 1
