Constraints:
Buildings in the EFC district are subject to CDC Section 428 which requires Oregon Department of Forestry fire breaks
around all new buildings. The review process and siting of buildings, even small accessory buildings, can be complex
and requires a land use review.
Opportunities:
Overnight stays: Help address reported demand for rural overnight stays by providing educational materials
regarding the following uses that are already allowed (subject to review):
• Campgrounds
• Private fishing and hunting accommodations for up to 15 people.
Also consider allowing Room and Board/B&Bs within existing dwellings in the EFC district as currently allowed in the
EFU & AF-20 districts.
