Newspapers are not to be trusted most of the time - no diss intended to our corporate owner Rupert Murdoch, of course. But you're really a fool if you believe the lurid headlines emblazoned on the front of a supermarket tabloid. Journey with us for a moment, won't you, to a world in which all of those headlines are true. Where Bat Boy stalked the highways and Bigfoot kidnapped co-eds to knock them up. Is This The End?

In some ways, we actually do wish that the Y2K bug had led to the end of human civilization. I mean, it was sort of a letdown waking up on January 1st to find out that basically nothing had happened, after months of insane panic. We had stockpiled gasoline and bullets, bought a bunch of food at Costco and knocked up a bunch of chicks to repopulate the human race. It was a rough morning. Although the world didn’t end, the Weekly World News finally did, and now there’s no more wonderful headlines like this to make our world better.
