LOST Revised: A Sideways-Less Season Six

One fan hated the flash sideways world so much he took it upon himself to cut it out...Jar Jar and all.

Did the series finale of LOST leave you feeling a bit ... lost?  Perhaps wishing you could flash sideways to another reality where the series ending was a bit more satisfying?

One fan hated the way LOST ended so much that he felt "morally compelled" to spend way too much time doing something about it.  According to his website, the unnamed fan was on board with the idea of the flash sideways world until the finale, when he realized that it was not a "what if they never crashed" scenario but, according to him, a gimmicky way to give the viewers a happy ending for all of the show's characters (well, except for some ...) that they didn't actually get.

"It was a way to give an emotional sendoff to the series by tugging at our heartstrings, rather than addressing the numerous hanging threads left over by the plot," he writes in the site's "about" section.

I'm not sure why he thought that LOST, which basically hinged on six seasons of numerous hanging threads, would end any differently, but okay.  His solution is to go back and re-edit the sixth season of the show, removing the sideways world entirely.  He compares his work to the heroic efforts of that guy who took Jar-Jar Binks out of Stars Wars: The Phantom Menace

He's done the first two episodes so far and plans to post a new one every week until the season is complete or ABC tracks him down and sues him for copyright infringement.  So if you've always wanted to experience the last season of LOST without all the happy schmaltzy heartstrings-tuggery and don't own a DVR that lets you simply "flash forward" through it all on your own, LOST Revised
