With all the fanfare and hubbub surrounding the end of LOST and the exciting return of many of familiar faces, it seems a bit unfair to ask about the few we never saw again, doesn't it?  And yet -- where was fan favorite Mr. Eko

After all, it was just last summer that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje was telling reporters he'd love to return to the show for the final season and called it a "strong maybe."  And then ... nothing.  What happened?

Well, rumor has it that although Akinnuoye-Agbaje claimed he was willing to go back and offered a "hearty sum" to appear in the finale, he ended up asking for five times more and then things "didn't work out."  Things "didn't work out" back when Mr. Eko was a regular character either.  Producers planned to keep him around for four seasons, but Akinnuoye-Agbaje didn't like Hawaii and asked to be released from his contract just one year in.

Clearly, Akinnuoye-Agbaje hates Hawaii and loves money.  So let's hope for his sake that, should G.I. Joe get a sequel, it isn't filmed anywhere near the Aloha state and the pay is great.
