MOVIES! Well, one movie, then some animations.

Jim Carrey Disease

While shooting a different video, John Hall (the lead in Carrey Disease) kept doing these great Jim Carrey impressions. So that night I wrote up this little sketch in which a man who ONLY speaks in classic Jim Carrey quotes (from the Ace Ventura movies and Dumb'n Dumber) is being taken to a psychiatrist by his concerned wife.

John was in the choir at the all boys' school that the main characters' school competed with in Glee. I met him through kickball. We were in the same league as the team that wins the national whatever in Vegas every year, but I could still shut them down (pitching) for 4 innings, then my arm would give out. Should I have gone pro? Probably. I guess we'll never know...

AST Sample Collection Instructional Video

In an attempt to cut down on the number of adrenal stress test collections that patients would mess up, some people at the lab shot a video. It consisted of our accessioner in front of the camera, at a desk, reading the instructions. They did one take, then the "videographer" added some effects you'd see in a 6th grader's first production. It was beyond terrible. I quickly set out to create an infinitely superior version - this is it. I did it in a week so they wouldn't get impatient and start promoting that awful, awful first attempt. Because to every other "manager," something horrible was at least something, and they thought something was better than nothing. WRONG! Something horrible gives the user/viewer a first impression of your organization being horrible. You can't undo that. But what you CAN do is stop wasting time and money creating garbage and let me create something great the first time.

Think I'm being arrogant? Ok, fine - see for yourself. This was what they almost posted for the world to see.

Minion Training College

I decided to add this one even though it's probably not the funniest video if you're unfamiliar with the game League of Legends,a game I'm terrible at, but for which I'm very good at making animations. Well, I do everything except the animating. A guy in South America did that part. I wrote, directed, and edited everything together. I also played the two-headed minion, but it's a bit part. I had my two best voice actors for this one, so I let them carry the load.

This animation has over a million views, which isn't at all uncommon for my work. And that's with a budget of only a few hundred bucks.

Snowman Animation

Posting that last animation inspired me to post this animation. I made it at the end of a semester of an animation course at UGA. The story is, a snowman checks out a sexy female snowwoman as she's jogging, and wants to say something, but he's too shy and misses his chance. But he doesn't miss walking into her big, angry boyfriend who literally knocks his head off.
