Beam Coping Machine Drill

Roller conveyors are required by Voortman to move the steel around the machine. Gulf States Saw & Machine Co. has a custom-made modular system that is suitable for this machine. The Ocean Eliminator is a modular system that features in-feed and outside-feed powered roller conveyors. It also includes powered lift and carry cross transfers.

Structural steel can be used to construct almost every type of structure, from buildings to bridges and ships. There are many variations in the designs of these structures. Steel beams need to be manufactured precisely to match blueprints. Steel beams must be cut to the correct size and thickness.

AFD CNC Flange and Plate Drilling Machine are capable of drilling 6 to 80mm and 1/4" to 3-1/8" thicknesses within their own area. Material is mounted on the table by using balls and fixed with hydraulic clamping jaws. Material is positioned to the desired coordinates for drilling/marking/tapping by CNC program and then operation starts.

The cutting head for the Voortman CNC Beam Coping Machine is a simple and inexpensive oxy-fuel head, and utilizes oxygen and any fuel of your choice, including propane, acetylene, propylene, or natural gas. These gases are very inexpensive and freely available from your welding supplier, and welders familiar with hand torch cutting will be able to set up the flow rates of the Oxy-Fuel just as they are used to doing.

Multiple torch or triple torch CNC beam coping machines typically have three torches, and each torch is dedicated to a flange or web. Even though there is less positioning time with the triple torch machine than there is with the single torch machine, the single torch machine can do a lot more cuts than the EXISTING triple torch machines due to the versatility of the 5-axis movement of the cutting head. In addition, most triple torch machines cost 3-4 times more than our single torch CNC beam coping machine.

This CNC beam coper with single torch eliminates the need for manual laying of your copes. Instead, it makes sure that your CNC detail drawings are accurate and precise and your copes are completed neatly.

Your detailer will then supply you a DWG / PLT / PDF file that you will use to print or plot your drawings. He will also supply you with the NC or NC1 files that you will import directly into your machine. The DSTV-Import function is standard on the Voortman.
