Navigate the Coachly Panel

Coachly Banner Tab

➔    To open the Coachly panel, click the Coachly tab in your Ed banner.

When you have a message response, a red numeric notification appears beside the Coachly tab in your banner. This notification appears as soon as you log into Ed and specifies how many unread messages are pending.

Drag-and-Drop Bar

The Drag-and-Drop bar allows you to move the panel around on your Ed page and reposition it where it works best for you as you perform tasks in Ed.

➔    To reposition the Coachly panel, click and hold the Drag-and-Drop bar, move the panel to the desired location, and release the bar.  

Note: Positioning of the panel persists when navigating to another page in Ed. If you refresh your page, however, the Coachly panel closes and resets to the default position.

Close Button

 Closes the Coachly panel.

➔    Click the Close button to close your Coachly panel.

Coach Name and Link

Displays the name of your currently selected coach, the coach's area of expertise, and (if additional coaches) an arrow to view and select additional coaches.

➔    Click the arrow buttons button beside the selected coach to view your additional coaches. If you have been assigned more than one coach, the Select another coach panel appears, listing your coaches in the order that the Coachly licenses were assigned to you.

You can select a different coach from the list. The selected coach displays at the top of your Coachly panel.

Expiring/Expired Licenses

If your Coachly license for a given coach is within 30 days of expiring, a banner appears at the top of your Coachly panel providing you with the date of the license expiration. You are advised to contact your administrator with questions about your license status.

If your license with a coach expires, the banner at the top of your Coachly panel indicates when the license expired. Your Coachly panel and any discussions that you had with the coach can be opened and viewed in a read-only state.

If you have additional active licenses, Coachly defaults to the next coach in the list that is attached to an active license.

Coachly Panel Option Tabs

Home Tab

Provides a quick overview of upcoming sessions and next steps with your selected coach.

Chat Tab

Allows you to chat and share files with your coaches.

➔    Click the Chat tab, type your message in the box at the bottom of the panel, and then click the arrow button to send.

–      Messages are text only and include time and (if not today) date stamps. You can expect a response from your coach within 24 hours of sending a message.

–      When you have a message response, a yellow icon message notification appears beside the Chat tab.

–      The Chat panel allows you to send files to your coach and receive files from your coach.

Sessions Tab

Allows you to view a list of the scheduled sessions with your selected coach, schedule sessions, edit or cancel sessions, and join sessions.

➔    Click the Sessions tab to view upcoming sessions scheduled with the selected coach.

–      When a session is within 15 minutes of the start time, a Join button appears on the session card.

–      You can edit or cancel sessions by clicking the vertical ellipsis button .

My Coach Tab

Provides you with information about your coach.

➔    Click the My Coach tab to view a brief message detailing your coach's experience.

My Schedule

Lists your scheduled Coachly sessions and allows you to open your Sessions tab to join, schedule, or edit sessions.

Next Steps

Schedule a session

     Opens the Sessions tab where you can schedule a session with the selected coach.

Select a topic of focus

     Opens the Select Your Focus panel, which displays topics from which you can select an area of focus.

My Focus

Shows the topic of focus that you selected and displays resources shared with you by your Coach.

The top two resources appear on your Home tab.

➔    Click the topic title to view the full list of resources.

The Coachly Resources panel appears with a full list of the resources your Coach has shared with you.

➔    Click a resource on either the Home tab or the Coachly Resources panel to open the resource directly in a side panel attached to Coachly.

You can close the open resources panel by clicking the X in the top-right corner.
