The Generate Molecular Formula(e) search combines the mass range filtering of the Mass Search with the empirical formula search with atom count ranges of the Molecular Formula Search.
Generate Formula(e) Search returns an intermediate result where the user can refine their selection further before proceeding to a Chemical List result.
This intermediate step allows the user to refine the list of chemicals returned before proceeding. Note that the “hits” count includes mixtures containing the chemicals with matching empirical formulae. The Export option available in this step exports the list of generated formulae, not the chemical data available in the Chemical List result returned when “View Selected Formulae” is clicked”.
