A Letter of Thanks

Today, on March 27th, something very special happened in Home.
The Ratchet & Clank dance floor, in Home, is one of the most cheerful and brightly-lit spaces you can find. And today, that dance floor was maxed-out to capacity with an incredible assortment of colorful characters. Heinis. Helghast. Homelings. Hamsters. Pirates. Aliens. An amazing assortment of costumes and characters, assembled together for one purpose:
To participate in the final shoot of the first HomeStation Magazine film project.
HSM is a remarkable group. They’ve managed a trick I didn’t think was possible: they keep producing really awesome stories unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere. Every time I read a HomeStation article, I feel *smarter* than when I started. That’s no easy feat to pull off.
And thus it was a great pleasure to film HSM’s first video project. And boy, let me tell you, it’s a doozy! For those of you who weren’t present at today’s shoot, picture a public space maxed to capacity with every wild costume you can possibly imagine. Then picture all of these people dancing and partying like there’s no tomorrow. I won’t spoil it any further, except to say that the footage looks absolutely amazing.
It’s going to take a little while to edit all of this and put together the finished product, but I want to thank all of you who came out and participated in today’s filming. Together, we proved that you can successfully film in a public space in Home with a huge group and pull off something remarkable.
Keep an eye on HomeStation Magazine; when the film project is finished, it’ll make its debut here first. And I can honestly say that this is a great group of people to work with. It’s one of the few Home fansites that I consistently visit, because it never fails to entertain and inform.

I would also like to thank burbie who managed to get us an empty R&C server so that we could fill it to capacity with our invitees. My apologies to those who were unable to get in. We just never dreamed that so many people would want to participate. Also kudos to burbie for inviting everyone she knows! The Grey Gamers were very much in evidence along with the ItchiHeinies and other burbie pals. Thanks to others who spread the word, both HSM staffers and friends. It is inspirational to see so many work together to create a really supportive video for Home. And HUGE thanks to NorseGamer and IrishSiren for the intensive amounts of time and expense they have put into this venture.

I want to thank all of those who participated in tonight’s filming for HSM. It was a project that took a few weeks of concerted effort and the time and energy of some very busy people but we pulled it off. I was lucky to have such faithful friends who came out to do what they had agreed to do and we all had fun doing it! Thanks again to Norse and Irish for their unflagging work for the magazine. I think we made a great effort and it will be appreciated by all.
It was a lot of fun. Projects like this and the people who participate in them are what make home special. It’s really all about the people.

It was a wonderful time! Love seeing so many come together to pull this off. The Crew was amazing and the visuals have to be stunning. I was very proud to be there and see so many people working together so well! Bravo everyone!!!

i never see a totally busy server of pple who react like they are one entity (idk if it’s a good english!^^)
it was really very impressive, 64 persons who make silence and dance “casuals”…
I feel sooooo happy and proud to be there with all of you…It was like a big family,it permite me to meet very celebres persons (VIP) but,and it’s important, so many unknows who are all HSMfans….
i don’t speak very well english and sometimes i ‘m little frustrated to can’t explain what i’ m feeling about all this events…..
So, Thanks to all of you HSM directors and staff, and thanks to all the participants which make this moment become the most coolest i’ have ever live in home….
