Is Home still region-locked?

If I were to invite a few friends to my apartment for a bit of a laugh, would people from all regions be able to attend? EU, NA and so on?

Any limits on how many people can enter an apartment?

Thanks :)

Public spaces are region locked. You can invite friends to private spaces and clubs from other regions. The total in an apartment is 12 (owner and 11 guests) and 32 in a club.

Sorry for the double post..

Anyway, I'm just double checking on this one. If I were to purchase the Old West Saloon Clubhouse, it would 100% hold up to 32 people? And could those 32 people be from anywhere around the world? Could I please get a guarantee on this before I make a purchase? Thanks!

Also, below the Clubhouse options, in big red lettering it says "You must own a Clubhouse Slot in order to use Clubhouses". Excuse my ignorance when it comes to Home, but how would I go about this? Does this simply mean you must buy a Clubhouse before you can use it? That would be my assumption, however that being something so obvious makes me question whether that is the case, because obviously you need to purchase a room before you can use it. If it's something else, an explanation would be brilliant.

Finally, it mentions in the description of this Clubhouse that it comes with Blackjack, Liar's Dice and Darts. Is it possible to purchase other entertainment options such as poker, arcade machines, and so on? The default 3 games are great, but if there are options to increase that and widen the available options to people, that would be awesome.

Thanks to anybody that responds, and again, excuse my ignorance when it comes to Home. I'm trying my best, honest. :P

Well, I do not work for or represent Sony, so I can't make guarantees.

However, the basic club description says that you may invite 31 others to join your club and you can appoint four of them as sub-leaders. As people cannot come to a club unless they are members and I have seen people from other regions in clubs, I would say that yes, they can be from any region.

I have only ever purchased the Seven Winds Clubhouse (not the basic) and I have set it up. It took a bit of time though. I can't say why. GlassWalls has done a thread on the Sony Home forum that explains all about clubs. That should help you with your set up.

There are other games to purchase on Home such as pool, chess, checkers, etc. You can add them to your spaces, up to a limit of 100 furniture slots. Most older items take up 22 slots each, so you are limited. A lot of the newer game cabinets take up only 1 slot.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jay, I know this is pretty late reply and you've probably already taken the plunge with the clubhouse thing but I'll try to explain it as best I can anyways for anyone else with the same questions...

Clubhouse (just like personal spaces) are NOT region locked. Anyone you've made friends with from any region can come to your personal or clubhouse space in Home. The big red letters mean you have to buy the basic clubhouse before buying a "clubhouse skin". If you're lucky, you might find a clubhouse skin bundle with the basic clubhouse with it, but normally you'd have to buy the basic first. This may seem like a high entry fee for owning a club but if you have an active club it's usually well worth it. Buy the basic clubhouse from the estates shop that's marked with a sort of heart-shaped icon; then you can buy additional clubhouse skins that you can apply using the club menus in the main menu (START button).

The WildWest Clubhouse you're talking about does come with a few games we'd call "baked in" - that means they're a permanent fixture to the space and cannot be removed, however this also means they don't use item-slots, which is VERY handy as you might discover later.

You can indeed buy a poker table to place in your clubs and/or personal spaces as well as various arcades. There has lately been a whole new bunch of retro arcades added to Home's list; classics such as Centipede, Astro-Smash and Frogger are here as well as a few more. Each arcade cabinet also comes with exclusive winnable items for use in Home.

One thing you will have to be mindful of is the ITEM SLOT COUNT. Older items such as the Brimstone Poker Table will carry an allotment of 22 slots (quite a chunk out of your decorating options). However newer items (like the aforementioned arcades) only take a single slot!

Be mindful of which active items you're buying for any particular space in regards to how you envision your space, as some actives may leave you with few options for decorating after they've been placed in a space.

Hope you find this, and it helps.

Like the others above me stated, personal spaces are not region locked. However, it is possible to region hop in a literal sense using a jailbroken PS3, I'm surprised it isn't patched by now actually.
