Material World #2

Material World #2

The major Home developers which still remain and produce content for the platform are rightfully lauded for their work. Certainly Lockwood, which is Home’s most dominant third-party developer, has earned no small share of consumer loyalty for the work they’ve done.
Then there’s VEEMEE. One of the fashion powerhouses that’s gained considerable prestige for releasing real-world brands such as Diesel, Billabong, and Wrangler, just to name a few. Tack on their stellar catalogs, Street Style and Strut, and they have shown that fashion can definitely be reality.
Along with Dani’s U Love Green line, KOVOK’s very own assorted catalogs, and nDreams ‘LMOs to compliment your clothing, there’s a lot of love to give to every single developer in Home that dives into the fashion scene.
These are some of the names that are commonly thrown around the community. We all have a fashion line that displays a bit of our personal style, which helps us non-verbally communicate our personalities to one another in this virtual world.
But there’s one developer that I truly believe needs some special attention. They were responsible for enhancing our experience with virtual beaches, wonderful public spaces, cemon-slaying fun, and a level of attention to detail that’s remarkable:
Granzella. A premium developer that charges a premium price tag, but is worth every penny.
Aside from their games and public spaces, Granzella is also known for creating some of the best fashion items to ever grace SCEA Home. I’ve featured several of their clothing items before in past articles (both here and over at www.twilighttouchinc.com), with one that still stands out — to me — as one of the best clothing pieces to ever arrive in Home. While I’m all for the Sexy Bartender commodity, catsuits and leather-clad Succubus costumes, the Kotobuki Kimonos have definitely left a complete mark on me. This isn’t to say the rest didn’t; I’m merely just speaking on how I feel and what inspired me more than just something you usually see around the social circles.
For this second issue, I decided to have a “blowout” special on some of the fashions that you’ve seen in the new Granzella Gift Machine, as well as other sections of their store. I’ve tried to cram almost everything from the store that’s in my wardrobe, with contributions by RadiumEyes and Hope Formula HT, without going too overboard and filling the pages with the whole store.
Okay, scratch that: I went nuts.
A couple of things that the first issue taught me: don’t skimp on pages, and put more detail into every layout. This second issue hopefully achieves this.
Secondly, I wanted to add in some clothing that isn’t too costume-themed, in the hopes of highlighting some items in the Granzella store that might not receive as much love. So if you’re looking for parcels that’ll help you for your Operation: Edo ventures, this isn’t it. This is more about real-world fashion.
Also included in this issue is a sneak peek on a fashion project that I’m producing, titled “Self-Centered”. The outfits you see in the pages of this issue are just a taste for what’s to come in the third issue of Material World.
Many thanks go to RadiumEyes and Hope (Formula HT) for their contribution to this issue, as well as to Roxanne. This was fun to produce, as I hope you enjoy this second issue of Material World.
