Bernkastel-Kues

The medieval town of Bernkastel-Kues is the heart of the "middle Mosel" and a popular tourist destination.

Getting There

From Himmerod, we will cycle over to Wittlich - which could be a bit hilly - and then take the Maare-Mosel-Radweg (MMR) from Wittlich over to Bernkastel-Kues, a total of a little over 32 km / 20 mi.  Alternative is to head south from Himmerod and make our way to Bernkastel-Kues via Esch and Piesport (32 mi), but descent into Piesport is reportedly steep.
