Phase Two was completed in fall 2018. It was a long time coming,
Cruise said. But it was worth the wait.

“To see the transformation from broken roads and potholes to smooth
surfaces is incredible,” he said. “I’m eager for the third and final phase
                                                to begin.”

Phase Three will begin in fall 2019 and focus on stabilization of the

“Once this project is complete, residents and tourists alike will
enjoy new smooth driving and biking surfaces around the entire lake,”
                                                Cruise said.

The Hagg Lake Perimeter Roads project’s total cost is estimated at
$20 million. The Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) is funding
about $10 million; the balance is coming from Washington County.
