Its design is simple and elegant. It is very sleek for a device with this innovative tech. This is actually lighter than other hair dryers. It is also easier to maneuver around your scalp. The motor at the centre of the device is smaller, and brushes less than typical hair dryers. This makes the device quieter, lighter, and easier to hold. If you consider your daily blow-dry routine an arm workout, this might be a change in your mind. Dyson designed the dryer in homage to their most popular fans. The hole at the center is what makes it so iconic.
I believe the Dyson Supersonic is my favorite hair dryer for grey hair. Dyson Airwrap is the only thing that can rival it, and one I'm dying to purchase.
I wanted to be able to quantify this so I measured the time of my last blowout. This experiment involved washing my hair, drying it on a towel for six minutes, then getting dressed. Finally, I blew my head out. It took me seven minutes to dry my hair using the Dyson dryer.

This produces a lot of air at a controlled speed to dry hair faster. The Dyson dryer measures heat output 40 times per second to control the temperature and prevent damage. The dryer does less damage, which makes your hair shiner and smoother over time. Don't worry if your hair is frizzy. The dryer uses negative electrons to reduce static and maintain a smooth look all day.
Fast is what I mean when I say it. My hair is thick and curly, measuring 28 inches in length. It's quite a lot of hair. Diffusing my hair took me five minutes. This is a great trick for when it's colder outside and my hair doesn't need to air dry for more than half of the day. It took me 20 minutes to do a blowout. I'm not an expert. If I was a better blowout artist, it would have been much faster.

I used the Dyson Supersonic for Amanda's curly 3B and 2C hairs. We used the diffuser only on her hair. However I used all attachments for my own hair, except for wide-tooth as it's not made for me. I didn't remember to take photos until after I had used the concentrator and diffuser attachments. Please pardon me. My hair felt and looked great after I used both attachments.
The Dyson Supersonic comes with three speeds (low-medium, high-speed) and four temperature settings. This includes a cold shot. The attachments include a diffuser, two nozzles for smoothing and one to concentrate air flow. This is great for styling bangs and blowouts. Since the Supersonic's release, Dyson has also released three other attachments: the Flyaway Attachment (for smoothing out flyaways), Wide Tooth Comb Attachment for curling curly hair and the Gentle Air Attachment (for controlling heat and diffusing it to protect fine hair types).
The first time I used it I used my phone to track my drying time. The result? 1:40:11. My entire head is dry in two minutes. Even though my hair is shorter and finer than others, it takes less time to dry my entire head. I found the Dyson to be worth the investment. I am always running late, but I don't care if it isn't time for me to get dry. I always have 2 minutes.

Sometimes the attachment's screw-in is no longer attached because it becomes threadbare. I can recall duct taped one of my attachments onto my old hair dryer. It didn't work. These things will not happen with Dyson magnetic attachments. Attachments for your whole life, y'all.
