It is extremely sleek. You would expect something with this much tech to be heavy and clunky. But not the Dyson Supersonic. This hair dryer is much more lightweight than other models and is easier to move around your head. The motor in the middle of the device, which is smaller than other hair dryers, is brushless and quieter. You might need to reconsider your routine if you are used to thinking of your daily hair-dye as an arm workout. Dyson created the dryer to pay tribute to their best-selling fans. This is why the iconic hole in the middle makes it so famous.
Since 2018, I have owned the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer. While I love it, it is not for everyone. Although it prevents heat damage from the hair, the price is prohibitive and may not be the best option for everyone.
Dyson Supersonic hair dryer protects hair from heat damage. It is designed to achieve the fastest drying+ and controlled styling. This dryer can increase the smoothness of hair by 75%, shine up to 132%, and reduce frizz and flyaways up to 61%.
For example, to use the diffuser tool, you must pool your hair in it and then press it on to your scalp to dry. Dyson has produced a series of videos on how to use the Hair Dryer, just in case you are confused (like I was).

    It comes with three attachments, including a diffuser as well as two nozzles. The one for smoothing and the other to concentrate air flow. They are perfect for blowouts and styling bangs.     I used the Dyson Supersonic for Amanda's curly 3B and 2C hairs. We used the diffuser only on her hair. However I used all attachments for my own hair, except for wide-tooth as it's not made for me. I didn't remember to take photos until after I had used the concentrator and diffuser attachments. Please pardon me. My hair felt and looked great after I used both attachments.

    I wanted to do a rough calculation so I measured my last blowout. I washed my hair and towel dried it for six minutes. After that, I got dressed, lotioned up, and then I blew my hair out. My hair dried in seven minutes using the Dyson hair dryer.

    I used the Dyson Supersonic to wash Amanda's curly 3B hair and my 2C hair. We used only the diffuser to style her hair. But I used all of my attachment settings for myself except the wide tooth comb because it isn't made for my hair. Sorry, I forgot to take photos after using both the concentrated styler attachments and the diffuser. I was able to achieve a great hairstyle with both the diffuser and concentrated styler attachments.
    When I say fast, that is exactly what I mean. I have 28-inch long, thick, curly hair. That's a lot. Diffusing my hair took me five minutes. This is an amazing tool when it is colder and I don’t want my hair to air dry for half the days. A blowout took me just 20 minutes. I am sure it would have been quicker if I was more skilled at blowouts.
    The only regret I have about the Dyson was not purchasing it sooner. It is an investment, but it has made my life so much simpler. It takes just 30 minutes to dry hair with Dyson. It is well worth it for its time-savings. However, avoiding heat damage has been an important part of my journey toward healthy hair. With the Dyson, I know my hair is being protected against damage while drying quickly. I'm able to stop worrying about my hair's health and just do it because I don’t want my hair wet.

    The Dyson Supersonic can run a 9-foot cable, while the professional hair dryer can go up to 11 feet. The professional hair dryer is also equipped with a heavier duty filter for about $50 more.
