Once it is dry, pour the resurfacer into a mixing bucket and lay down strips about one foot in width. You can then spread the resurfacer across the driveway using a long-handled shovel. After the concrete has set for five minute, you can apply a nonslip sealant with a wide-head concrete scrubber. If you want a uniform look, continue to move the broom around the work area. Make sure that every stroke is directed in the exact same direction.
Step 4 The professional installer places the stamp over the overlay, until it imprints the pattern. This is difficult as the overlay must be in a good condition to allow for and sustain an imprint. The overlay is then allowed to dry over night.
The stamped concrete driveway looks great with this brick two-story home. The entire project was completed using a seamless granite pattern, which included the bands and borders. The concrete was colored with a sand colour hardener and a walnut release agent. The decorative borders were custom-colored to match the trim and shutters of the home.
Step 6: After the concrete company is done, and the customer has not requested anything else, the concrete sealer is applied to the overlay. This sealer protects stained concrete and makes it shine.
