Concrete is known for its durability, which is why it is often chosen as a driveway surfacing option. Concrete driveways may start to look worse after years of constant exposure to the elements. It's easier and more affordable to restore an existing installation, rather than tear it down and start again. It will make your driveway look brand new and prevent future damage. Premier Stamped Concrete of Fort Wayne Inc. is the company to call if you believe your concrete driveway is overpriced.

Depending upon the stamp that we use, we can stamp concrete so it is anti-slip even during rain. The best concrete surfaces for you are properly installed, whether pavers, brick or flagstone.

After you have finished cleaning the driveway, look for cracks or areas that are deeply spalled. Make sure to patch any such areas with patching compounds. To remove any water remaining, hose down your driveway until it is saturated. This cools down your slab and keeps the water from escaping the concrete resurfacer. You should now take a moment and consider the weather. Resurfacers must cure at temperatures above 50 degrees Fahrenheit, for eight hours, or above freezing, for 24 hours. If you have these conditions in mind, you can move on to the next phase.

The location of your new driveway will impact the cost and the amount of work that your contractor must do. To make a clear path, it's necessary to excavate the ground. This means that stumps, trees, and bushes must be removed. Next, the driveway contractor will grade your area to create a level surface that can be used for asphalt or concrete. For drainage purposes, driveway contractors will need to install a subbase of compacted dirt (or something similar), 4-8 inches below the surface. This is depending on your soil type. The concrete or asphalt is then poured and smoothed on top. Your driveway contractor will recommend the best sealant for you and provide advice about the curing time.
