St. Andrews State Park Campground Camp Store provides beach bike rentals. You can use the loops and park roads to ride the bike, as well as the 2-mile paved trail that winds through the park. It's an excellent way to see wildlife from the park, including deer. Two easy and short hiking trails give visitors a close view of coastal scrub habitats, and native pine forest.
Pick up and drop off is approximately 2.2 miles from the State Park docks. It will take approximately 15 minutes to get to our dock on the island.

Shell Island cannot be reached by water. Visitors must travel by boat to reach it. Shell Island Ferry is the quickest, easiest, and most reliable way to get there. Since 1999, the Shell Island Ferry has been the official Shell Island Ferry of St. Andrews State Park.
The waters around St. Andrews State Park are nice for both beginning and experienced kayakers. There is plenty of interesting shoreline to explore as well as good swimming and snorkeling spots. Experienced paddlers may want to make the crossing to Shell Island or even paddle out the pass for some sea kayaking. You can snorkel around the St. Andrews State Park Jetty and on Shell Island. The habitats vary from sandy bottom to shallow grass flats to the rocky faces in the jetties. You will see tropical fish, crabs and rays. If you're lucky, a turtle or one of the resident bottlenose Dolphins.
